The First Fine Arts Gathering

Fine art holds a distinguished place at Higher Metn Artisan. The first Fine Arts Gathering was held in August 2022 in collaboration with Nabil Saad Arts Studio, bringing together a select group of professional visual artists from across Lebanon. The First Fine Arts Gathering took place on August 7, 2022. Artists were first welcomed at the association's headquarters, then taken on a tour of Ras El Metn to discover its distinctive natural landscape of pine trees, walnut groves, and olive orchards — giving each artist a sense of the setting they would interpret in their work. The group then moved to the activity venue, a property in Sheir Ghadata belonging to Mr. Salah Nuwayhed, to whom we extend our deepest thanks for generously offering his space in the service of art. At the close of the gathering, the completed artworks were displayed and the artists gathered for a warm conversation and discussion about their craft, exchanging experiences and insights. Certificates of participation were presented by Ras El Metn's then-deputy mayor Mr. Raja Abu Raslan, who offered welcoming remarks to the guest artists and extended his congratulations to Higher Metn Artisan for this achievement. The activity concluded with a traditional dinner of manakish and saj bread.
