Carpentry Course

Higher Metn Artisan presented the first course in carpentry fundamentals in cooperation with Carpenters by Joseph Hachem & Co. At Higher Metn Artisan, we strive to create opportunities led by skilled instructors to teach and train in practical trades that equip individuals to face life's challenges with confidence. A mastered trade is a shield of dignity — enabling people to earn a living without humiliation. This carpentry course can fairly be called the first of its kind in Upper Metn. The course combined theory and hands-on practice. The theoretical component was taught by academic and professional board member Prof. Samer Abu Hamreh, while the practical training was conducted in collaboration with Prof. Joseph Hachem at his workshop on the Qorneyet Sawda road in Qornaeel. Both instructors deserve our deepest appreciation for their efforts. Following the course, an exhibition of trainees' woodwork products was hosted by the Ras El Metn municipality on June 16, 2023, where participants displayed and sold their handcrafted wooden pieces.
