Arabic Calligraphy Course: Naskh Script

One of the important courses offered by Higher Metn Artisan in cooperation with the municipality of Ras El Metn is the Arabic Naskh calligraphy course. Naskh is the most foundational of all Arabic scripts — the starting point from which all other scripts derive, the bedrock upon which Arabic writing rests. Naskh is distinguished by its clarity: each Arabic letter appears complete and distinct within words, combining the beauty of simplicity with the fluidity of writing words and sentences. The course is taught by an accomplished artist, creative professional, and handcraft specialist with over 22 years of teaching experience at Kafaat School and multiple educational institutes — board member Prof. Samer Abu Hamreh. The course runs over 6 days, held on Thursdays and Fridays in October, beginning Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Ras El Metn Municipal Hall. The course welcomes school students, religious students, and anyone wishing to improve their handwriting.
